Overview & Highlights

Cara Mia Gelateria in the bustling heart of Makati City is not just another ice cream shop—it’s a sanctuary for true gelato enthusiasts and dessert lovers seeking an unforgettable sweet escape. Nestled at Don Bosco Compound, A. Arnaiz corner Chino Roces Avenue, this artisanal gelateria blends authentic Italian craftsmanship with locally inspired flavors, delivering a sensorial journey that delights both the palate and the soul.

At Cara Mia, the menu is a harmonious blend of silky smooth gelato tubs and exquisite sliced cakes that stir your senses with every bite. Their famed Pistaccio Cioccolato Sliced stands out as a decadent chocolate-flavored chiffon masterpiece layered with luscious pistachio filling and crowned with deep dark chocolate—a best seller that perfectly balances richness and nutty subtlety, inviting you to savor every melt-in-your-mouth morsel. For those with a penchant for a lighter yet indulgent treat, the Sea Salted Honey Crunch Sliced beckons with fluffy white chiffon layers, airy mocha cream, and a crunchy, slightly salty honey topping, creating an addictive interplay of textures and flavors. Meanwhile, the Chocolate Java Sliced offers a deep dive into a luscious combo of java filling, chocolate mousse, and delicate cream threaded with honeycomb’s delightful crunch, satisfying chocolate lovers with complexity and smoothness.

Cara Mia’s gelato collection equally impresses. The Cookie Butter Biscoff Tub delights with its creamy Biscoff sauce and crunchy cookie pieces, while the Mint with Chocolate Tub refreshes with a cool minty vibrancy punctuated by rich chocolate bits. The Cookies and Cream Tub delivers a classic creamy comfort speckled with cookie chunks, perfect for nostalgic indulgence. Every spoonful bursts with velvety texture and thoughtfully layered flavors, showcasing the brand’s commitment to quality and authenticity.

Beyond their delectable offerings, Cara Mia Gelateria’s customer service is as sweet as their treats. Absolutely delicious gelato and great flavours. Lovely staff too.

Since the Knafeh (Dubai Chocolate) has gone viral, a lot of confectioners have tried their hand at producing sweet delights that would mimic the decadence, textural experience and taste of the chocolate and pistachio combo. This week alone, I have tried 3 different versions of the same inspiration. The Chocolate Pistachio Cheesecake (₱680 a slice) of LaPita, the Knafeh Chocolate Pistachio of Manila Creamery in gelato form and this, the Pistaccio Cioccolato Whole (₱1,315) of Cara Mia. With my Foodpanda Pro, I had it delivered at ₱1,125 with the corresponding discounts. This particular cake is heavenly. The mix of slightly bitter chocolate with the creamy pistachio and crunch of nut bits make for a wonderful mouth experience. This is because the purveyors of Cara Mia and Amici were the original owners of Red Ribbon (the Mercados) before they sold RR to Jollibee (JFC). They sat on the money for a while then when the yearning to go into the food business again crept up, they made a bid for the ongoing and already known Amici di Don Bosco of the Don Bosco priests. With a combination of their knowledge and expertise, they also acquired authentic Italian cuisine preparation for pasta, pizza, breads, gelato and the like from the Bosconian founders and beefed up the cake and baking section of the establishment.

During GCQ/Alert Level 4: I ordered thru their delivery app. Fast delivery and cake arrived safely. Thank you so much! The Coffee Honeycomb has a strong coffee flavor oozing with coffee goodness inside. This is the perfect cake for coffee lovers out there

Good place. Great great food! Very friendly customer-service. They even offer superb deals and promos. I love their Gusto Cards which allow you to get discount for every visit, regardless of the purchase <3

Caramia have a great selection of gelato, frozen and refrigerated cakes! One can just stop by and have that gelato to satisfy your craving. My personal fave is their Pistaccio Cioccolatato cake and Chocolate Theraphy Gelato!
